I belong to a Mac user group that is interested in Genealogy as a topic for discussion in all its forms. Does anyone know of a person, group, society or institution that could give a free presentation to a group of interested individuals? I live in the 3 counties area north of London and would appreciate any help if such a person or group exists.

Zup Roger?!
Yup I know some group. Do you Have Mormon churches in your area? Properly known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS). The Church in general has the largest record of genealogical documents and one important program in the church is family history or genealogy. They invite people in special events in presenting their family history program, not only to members but to non-members as well with no purpose of converting you into their church. Each stake or branch has at least a family history center. They're for free and the folks there are friendly.
I believe that in your area there are some members of the church and Mormon chapels, well you can contact them. They can present to you genealogy as an individual as well. They also have brochures and software where you can temporarily save your work.
Good luck there, mate!
