Hi
My name is Roy Philpotts and although I am actually Trevor Roy I only use the first name for bureaucracy. I hail from Oldbury and my father's family moved there from Herefords in mid 1800's. My mother's family hailed from Belbroughton and they met because of the link of Brades Nash and Tyzack being in both places. My wife is Val and her family is HOLDER, originally from Gloucs but again moved to the Black Country in the 1800's. her mother's maiden name was Beddall from Smethwick and West Bromwich.
I have inputs into a number of sites but this is my first excursion onto this one. It looks interesting.
Thanks for reading this, my main family interests are:-
Philpotts, Holder, Moss, Beddall, Haughty, Woodhouse, Bridge, Swancutt, Williams, Walker, Chelton and Manfield.

Very best wishes to all.
Roy Philpotts

Hi Roy welcome to the forum

Some great Black Country names you mention there.

Ok now for any queries from counties that don't cover the Black Country area then post in our General Discussion section.

For any queries that come under the Black Country umbrella then scroll down the board and you will find a section
dedicated to Genealogy for that particular area ......bostin!
Post in there we will all dive in and help you and quite a few of us have access to some brill records.

Quite a few of us are also involved in a huge project called Black Country Connections.
This is a very very big family tree to see how we all connect to one another and how all the names link together.
To look at this click on the website link on any of my posts it will take you there.

Good to have you onboard
