Found this on Ancestry mjay, which is the closest one I could find in the Bilston area, but you have to pay on the Fold3 web site to view paperwork. There are quite a few named John Lacy.

The only other things shown on Fold 3, his Address is 15 Field Street Bradley and he is Married
I can't see any service records for him.
