Looks like they were living in America before 1870 and returned after 1873?

Thanks for the replies, being very low on funds we have little choice of where to look and a lot of the places don't seem to have a great deal of information.

Most grateful to you all, this all started out when a cousin of my wife asked us to try and find out about the Plants (maiden name), we had a computer and they didn't. Trouble is it all seems to get addictive trying to see how far you can go back and what you can find out, no skeletons yet, thank goodness.

If I come up with a win on the lottery, I'll get a few subscriptions and try and help out others.
