I was just re checking the family tree and noticed that Martha Fiddian (daughter of Richard and Adah Fiddian, nee Adams) went missing after the 1871 census, where she was staying at her grandparents, Jabez and Nancy Adams (see below): -

So young to be working as a Servant at the age of 14. Life was certainly hard in those days.
