Samuel A Woodall 22 Single Press Stamp Operator (Heavy ??

Well this seems to be the correct George (surname wrong, not Smith) birthplace is correct and to my reckoning by looking at every census, he would have worked from poss 1876 to 1939 (above) and then until 1945. That would add up to 69 years.

Sir Henry Maybury, who was the boss of the Rowley Regis Quarry where George worked ,George Smith was born in Gadds Green Turners Hill in 1865 he started work as a stone breaker at the age of 10.

George was actually born 1866.........

Thanks Jimmy

I still can't figure out the information on that article, although I'm wondering if 1945 was a mistake but then George's surname of Smith was too :?
