Hello everyone,

I've searched but am unable to find a marriage for Richard Ledger b. 1823 to a woman named Sarah b. abt. 1816 both born in the London area. Their children were James b. 1843, Sarah b. 1845, Thomas b. 1850, Henry b. 1854 and Mary b. 1858. All the children were born in the Hoxton, Middlesex areas. Please can anyone help me find the name of their mother Sarah ?? (surname unknown).

Thank you,
Robyn.

LEDGER, SARAH STONE
GRO Reference: 1844 D Quarter in SAINT LUKE MIDDLESEX Volume 02 Page 307

but James' does not say

LEDGER, JAMES -
GRO Reference: 1842 D Quarter in SAINT LUKE MIDDLESEX Volume 02 Page 297

LEDGER, THOMAS STONE
GRO Reference: 1849 S Quarter in SAINT LUKE MIDDLESEX Volume 02 Page 298

Another birth

LEDGER, ANNA STONE
GRO Reference: 1846 J Quarter in SAINT LUKE MIDDLESEX Volume 02 Page 333

and a Richard born earlier?

LEDGER, RICHARD -
GRO Reference: 1841 M Quarter in SAINT LUKE MIDDLESEX Volume 02 Page 304

and this is young Richard's burial. The register says 62 Golden Lane, which is where the family lived in 1851 census. It is a non-conformist burial

Name: Richard Ledger
Death Age: 2
Event Type: Burial
Birth Date: abt 1841
Death Date: abt 1843
Burial Date: 23 Apr 1843
Burial Place: London, Middlesex, England (bunhill burial ground or Golden Cemetery)

I still can't find a marriage.

And this burial at the same place

Name: Mary Ledger
Death Age: 1
Event Type: Burial
Birth Date: abt 1846
Death Date: abt 1847
Burial Date: 10 Oct 1847
Burial Place: London, Middlesex, England

It has been transcribed as Mary but says Ann, so fits the birth entry above

Hello Gardener,
Thank you for finding the mother's name of Stone. I too have looked for a marriage but have found nothing that fits. I've even tried various spellings of Ledger. I much appreciate you taking the time to help me. Thank you again. Robyn.
