MAC software

Hi everyone
This is my first post . Thank you for any help .
I have done a massive amount of work on my parents family trees . Previously using Microsoft and legacy software .
I now only use MAC and need need appropriate software .
I have worldwide Ancestry software but not overkeen on using their family tree facility as I do not want my information used by Ancestry in anyway .
Can anyone please recommend best software for MAC thank you
