I believe I have found her death in 1896 JanFebMar Woverhampton and certainly William Henry has married by the 1901 census and John is living with him.

Any help gratefully received as I have hit a brick wall.

Hi Mg can you add what you have in the above detail to BCC as it helps to see it actually on the tree

so she married 3 times?

if you can add all those marriages
I have entered William but please feel free to add more or an accurate dob

so we want parents of Mary?

have you got her first marriage to an Allen?
and on any early census?

NL

I am slowly getting round to add all my details but I have nothing on Mary A Cope/Allen/Gladders/Broomhall before she married William Gladders or more correctly before she had William Henry Gladders as that seems to have come first - I'll do her next.

William was a widower from before 1861 so as far as I know there was not a problem on his side - I didn't know whether she left her 1st husband but then waited until he was dead to remarry.

Nope - that is where I came to a dead end.

There should be a marriage for Mary Cope plus U/K Allen and census results for 1871, 1861,1851,and possibly even 1841 depending on when she was born and a birth certificate for her too. There could even have been children from her previous marriage as she would have been 33 by the time she had William Henry.

I haven't got her death certificate but they don't tend to tell you very much soo..

I suppose I could try burials in and around Sedgley to see if there was more info there.

Peterd

Why do we apparently have different reference numbers for the same page?

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =406934952
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... nd=2548482

or is that one of those mysteries that we don't need to know like how electricity works - we just accept it does!!

Anyway thank you for solving one mystery - how you were all linking in to pages!
