This may be of interest to those who live near these archives
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/news/stories/337.htm"The National Archives, in collaboration with UK-based family history website findmypast.com,
is providing seven archives and libraries around England and Wales with free access to the recently completed online records of the 1911 census."
looks good!

This looks great - I am increasingly wanting to look up 1911 stuff and wondering whether I dare start paying because I know the more I look up the more I will want - now I just need to write lots of lists and go look up.

You can also access the 1911 at Family History Centers and Findmypast. the LDS church seems to have struck a deal with somebody. All FHC with computers should have several databases available for free - 1911, FindmyPast, World Vital Records, Heritage Quest, Footnotes to name a few.
