But this one is not a John Ivor is he? He is John Joseph

Ivor sounds very welsh to me.

Well, I sent for the birth Certificate 11th May and had nothing so I called them yesterday. I was told I would receive an e- mail within 48 hours, which I did.

E mail said....

We should have advised you that we were unable to produce a certificate because we have searched the indexes for events registered in England and Wales during the years specified (1901-1903 ). We have been unable to find an entry with the details you provided.

I finally got through to someone today, she advised me to re-order but leave out the volume & page number. They will do a search for the whole of 1902.
It costs £18 and could take 2/3 months, so I've gone with that.

Well I didn't have to wait long, it came today but it's the wrong one!

He is on 1939 Census living 49a Ashted Row, Birmingham with wife Beatrice (Ingram) and his date of birth is given as 5/10/1902 but the certificate I received has William Thomas Davies but his birth as 16th Aug 1902 Pontypridd
I sent for the following certificate in May but was previously told it could not be found ....why not?
