Found them easy enough in 1861:

BUT couldn't find them in 1871, or a marriage.
Then found these

so I wondered if that is them? With a possible marriage 1851

Checked the IGI and there is an entry (not extracted mind)

So we need a marriage for JOhn Lees parents
and a bapt if poss must have been born ahead of marriage ( if there is one)
and wonder if zillah dunn is on bcc will have a look

used name Garratt in one census
but then changed to Lees

wonder what his kids were regis as
can we find that
I like them to go on BCC as names regis or bapt in with accompanying notes for more info

but need to confirm her parents but I think Joseph is her father

this Josephs br Theophollis his son Richard calls his kid Zillah
the area is good Netherton

I don't think that is the same one because that one left a will naming Theophollis and his sisters but no mention of a Joseph. See http://www.blackcountryhistory.org

James has son s Theophillis and a Joseph

so why cant it be that Joseph?

can never find those things on that site


Probate (25 July 1835) of the will (dated 27 May 1834) of James Dunn of Windmill End, parish of Dudley, Worcs., nailer;

I just mean that since the Joseph Dunn bpt 1798 (son of James and Prudence) is not mentioned in James' will then possibly he died young (Joseph) so not likely to be the same Joseph who married and was father of Zilla et al. There are plenty of other Joseph Dunn bpt around that time and it could be one of those.

The IGI has a submitted entry for Joseph Dunn bpt 9 April 1797 at Brierley Hill, parents Thomas Dunn and Mary Webb. That might be him as some of Joseph's kids seem to be baptised at Brierley Hill eg Keziah in 1827. Then again it might not.
