Okay so I know 1881 is free, and i've searched and searched ancestry, findmypast, family search all to no avail. I've tried every derivite of Tromans I can think of, even Timmins, Thomas etc etc. I've tried T*. I've even tried searching using First names only eg Elizabeth born 1876 in Walsall, living in same house as someone named Benjamin. I've gone bald with trying
. has anyone any suggestions please????? Here's what I do know.
20th May 1872 John Tromans (full age) batchelor - chainmaker, living in Dudley - father Benjamin Tromans - Chainmaker
marries Ann Maria Butler (full age) spinster . living in Dudley - father Mathew Butler - Puddler
at St Andrews in Netherton, Dudley.
In about 1873 son John Henry is born in Cradley Heath
1876 daughter Elizabeth born in Walsall
1879 son Benjamin born in Cradley Heath
In 1891 the family are living in Mill Street, Cradley, Worcs and another daughter Ann Maria has been born.
I know from Cradley Links Roll of Honour (both sons having died in WW1) that before moving to Mill Street the family lived in Queen Street, Cradley Heath and I have looked at every house in the street in case the surname has been transcribed wrong, but still had no luck. Am I to assume that they were all missing in 1881? Or somewhere out of the enumerators reach?
Anu suggestions please???? Don't mention wigs.......
