Hi, In 1856 my G.Grandfather William Frederick LEEDHAM married Ann SMART, not long after William went to Nova Scotia with three brothers and he died out there of Typhus in 1863. Ann SMART then married again in 1869 an Abraham WARDLE in Rowley Regis. the children of LEEDHAM and WARDLE were born in Rowley Regis.are there any relations around of these two families.
Mike.

Lin Oh Lin, Yes I would !...getting into some good stuff now with the SMART and DARBY families, strikes me though the LEEDHAMS were a bit carefree?
Thanks Lin..Mike.

Morning
What are we tracing Back then the Smarts or Leedhams
We tend to have separate threads for different families
so you let us know what you wish to trace back eg Smarts on this one
and then are you ok on the Leedhams
or is it another branch off you need?
So this is your link.....

Hi, Jan looks very good as you say !.....is that spelling Sonarte, typical of the verbal mistake that clerics did on documents, or what?
Cheers.. Mike.

Hi that is the transcribed view on I think Ances?
on the actual image it says Smart.
we tend to post as it is transcribed so that others can find it on ancestry
but put a note on as we look at the actual image too to verify...or we should do! ....so like Farside has done there she has posted as
the transcribed entry and gone into the actual image and noted the actual name the enumerator has written.
We don't rely on the transcribed results as they are not correct at times.
Family search doesnt seem to be working at the mo
maintenance I think
But can we find a bapt for this James Smart and Hannah Eliza I couldnt see one.
Mike if you would like that marriage looked up for Hannah Eliza you need to request a look up in the look up requests section
So go there
find the thread called Dudley and Smethwick archives post here
add it to that thread in this format
*Mikleed*
Q Witnesses please and all info
JOSEPH FOLEY
HANNAH ELIZA SMART
Marriage: 15 NOV 1831 Saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester,
and I will add it to the list
may or may not reveal clues
