I read it that
Elijah b 1893 has parents James b 1856 and Letitia tbc
James b 1856 has father James b 1823 and mother Letitia
James b 1823 marries Lettitia Ruston in 1850
igi states father is James
we need to clarify where Samuel is from
cos think that is incorrect
is that how you read it Jimmy?

I read it the same as you either the IGI is wrong or BCC as had the wrong info put in.

Mumbles has sent me the 1851 census and it has a James Adams and wife Letitia right age for James snr living with a Samuel Adams
as son

I dont get this I can only see one James that fits and that is the one with father Samuel
he is a carter in 1861 and 1871 living black heath
no samuel with them so he must die betw 1851 and 1861
the ages are the same as for the James and Letitia living samuels
Samuel has a dau Ellen
James calls dau Ellen
what are we missing
