Can any one find John Hill 1849 wife Esther Greaves in the 1861 census he was born in Quarry Bank /Cradley. On BCC. I know too many John Hills!

Have found a marriage Joseph Hill Hasbury and Joanna Beddall St Johns Halesowen.1847.
Can't find a birth for John Perkins 1848. Can't find a Joanna Perkins. Any clues.

Also on BCC there is a Joseph Hill 1826 father Thomas Hill mother Ann family living in Bower Quarry bank 1861.
Could be John's father. All long shots.

Had another look at this marriage to Joanna Beddall 5th Dec 1847. Free parish rec gives christening December 1848 but date of birth 4th Feb 1848. Perkins may be just a middle name looks as if she was expecting when she go married. I would like to think Thomas and Ann are Josephs parents. because of the Bower connection.

A John Beddall and George Beddall are living with Joseph and Joanna 1n 1851. Joanna Beddall married to John Hill father Thomas at St Johns Halesowen's father is Thomas BEDDALL. So Beddall seems to fit. What do you think.

Still wandering where the Perkins comes from. Are there any Perkins in or around the Bower. Maybe Joseph is not his father. Jo was crossed out on marriage. May send for a birth cert.

My Heritage has got a John Tertius Hill 1848 from the Bower Quarry Bank father Joseph hill mother Johanna Beddall down as marrying a Eunice Agnes Doody in1869 at Amblecot Church Stourbridge. If this is right this is not my John Hill who married Esther Greaves. It has John living in Maugh St a clay miner 1n 1861. with parents Joseph and Johanna.



In 1848 there is a b John P Hill Stourbridge Dudley
And in 1848 there is a b John T Hill Kingswinford.
Not sure who to go for.
