If possible can someone do a marriage look-up? I'm looking for info on the marriage of Thomas Bishop and Elizabeth Wood. They married June quarter of 1841 in Holy Trinity, Wordsley, Worcestershire. My Thomas Bishop was b. abt 1811 +/- 5 years in either Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire or Hopton Wafers, Shropshire. Elizabeth Wood was b abt 1814 in Lye, Worcestershire. I'm looking for the names of their parents. Any help is appreciated.

Do you have their marriage certificate or any censuses?

I have all the census' except 1841. Someone tried looking up the 1841 census and stated that she could not determine which Thomas was the right one as there appears to have been alot of them. As to the cert. I do not have it. I am unable to order any certificates as I am financially lacking a cash flow due to a disabling illness. That's why I'm hoping someone has the ability to go to the Dudley Archives.

I also have two census' done by the family' church. The Rev J H Thompson did census' in 1857 and 1863 on his Parishioners.
Here is the 1857: The family is in Netherend.
Thomas Bishop the father is a Labourer
James aged 15 in November is a Chain Worker
Thomas is aged 12 in January is a Chain Worker
Elizabeth aged 9 in April
Sarah aged 7 in March
Ellen aged 4 in May
Philip aged 3 in November
Elizabeth the wife is not mentioned, but she is still alive. The family are Unitarians, their Church is Park Lane Presbyterian Chapel.


Here is the 1863: The info is still pretty much the same, except everyone is older and James' occupation is a Mason and Elizabeth the daughter works at home. Elizabeth the wife is still alive, I believe, though she died soon afterwards.
