Only just having joined, and checking for common surnames, I see that the Bowater family is mentioed in the archives, I have a realtionship to the family of William and Charlotte Bowater (nee Rutter) from the Clent and Halesowen area, and with a major focus on the members who sailed here to New Zealand, so this is the intended focus of my research. So anyone seeking information on these people please feel free to contact me, of if you need any general help in researching here in New Zealand
