CAn anyone find George Tromans born I think RRegis
before his marriage in Oct 1891
father on marriage is Joseph FOSTER

can anyone find him on Census from 1871 onwards
and
any birth etc etc pls

Nl I have Census for George Foster Tromans from 1871 to 1911
and his father Joseph Foster who was born 1845 not 1830
Also can connect to Joseph Father who was George Foster born 1792
George Foster born 1792 may connect to Fosters already on BCC

Hi Mumbles can you post the census from 1871 you have and up to 1901 I couldn't see George with a JOseph Foster on ancestry.

I would like to see which one you found if you have time to post.

How did you find him?
All I could find was a Joseph Tromans and a Hannah and it didn't seem right one.

The marriage I have put in Joseph Fosters notes is a possible only
doesn't feel like the correct one.

I don't think that is him..do you think it is him?

He is a quarryman in 1891 but on marriage is a sett maker

and father is a stud maker not a rivetmaker...

they seem to work in a quarry ie George and father Josephs other sons work in a quarry...

Sett Makers worked in Quarry making door or window lintels or kerb stones and Rivet Makers were often called Stud makers

George was born in 1863 out of wedlock and is registered as no mother on GRO
Rest of children are registered as mother Tromans

I have checked children and all registered with mother Smith after David born 1849
