Here is one for Willetts researchers to follow.
It is nothing to do with my Parsons line but when photocopying a Marriage cert. for Margaret Parsons and Richard Round I copied next entry which shows:
22/10/1860 Thomas Hackett Full age Bach. Chain Maker Dudley Father William Hackett Nailer
Matilda Willetts Full age Spinster Dudley father Thomas Williams Nailer
The Parish Church Dudley Worcs.
Witnesses :- John Clarke , Jane ? Smith
It is unusual as father is shown as Williams and daughter is Willetts and a spinster

Hi Mumbles we looked this one up before, sure it was a spelling mistake and Thomas was Willetts not Williams, this is all in the archives somewhere Best Wishes Linell.

so that is more info

Thomas is b abt 1839 and marries 1860

so can we find Thomas and father William Hackett on census prior to marriage in 1860 to see when his
father is born and where please
also mothers name

and a bapt?

I think that is the family with that John Smith but with the name Hackett have to be so sure

Ok done the look up to clarify that signature
it is an Ann Smith

it says the mark of ann Smith

so not sure where that gets us

so anybody any idea who this william is with father thomas (cousin of thomas in census had a father william and his brother was thomas father of lodger thomas. it seem to be the only logic answer unless he was a striaght lodger no relation ?)
