Had one other child, Charles, bapt 27 March 1835, Old Swinford.

James died before 1841 (not on census). His death seems to be the one registered Sept Quarter 1839, Stourbridge, aged 36 (GRO site), so born about 1803.

Sarah remarried 21 Dec 1846, Old Swinford (submitted entry, so needs checking) to John Mash - entry says Sarah 'Chambers or Rogers') - this seems to confirm the marriage 20 June 1825, Wombourne (another submitted entry, unfortunately) of James Chambers & Sarah Rogers.

Wonder where they were in the intervening 10 years - other children?

Just checked on WestMidsBMD: the marriage is on there 1846, St Mary, Old Swinford, John Mash/ Sarah Chamber.

Can't find the family after this.

Interesting that this has the surname as Marsh and marriage has Mash there were a handful of Mash's in Old Swinford.

seems to be stourton for Sarah/ thomas Lye for Marsh and emma stourbridge

Just noticed - John Marsh was a Chelsea Pensioner so was previously in the army: there should be some military records. Given the time period he could have fought in the peninsular wars, possibly even Waterloo, or maybe, like so many others, India or the USA/ Canada. Does anyone have access to FMP - I found that the best for military records when I was subscribed.

This looks like his baptism: 25 Aug 1793, Old Swinford, John s of George & Phebe Marsh. (ODM)
