I'm sure I can hear groaning..
I'm trying to help a friend..& can't. Andrew Harris baptised 11 February 1867 at Cradley, parents Joseph & Emma Crampton. Emma is on BCC
In 1911 Andrew is living in Victoria Road, off Little Hill, Cradley.

He had four children by his first wife, Myra Elizabeth Grazier, who he married at Halesowen on 10 April 1887.

He went on to marry Hannah Corkindale c1882-1971 & have a further ten children.

It is believed Hannah was born in Worcester to William and Mary Ann Welch. Family moved around, some links to Liverpool, Mary Ann possibly died 1886 & William remarried, possibly living in as Smethwick at the end of his life.

Andrew's dad was ...Joseph Harris, but which one!

Any further information for the Corkindale or Harris line would be much appreciated.

Thats interesting. In the village where i live in Holland i met a fella from Smethwick his name was Corkindale and his wife was a Scouser. This was in the 80's both have sadly passed away but their children are still living here. I wonder if there's a connection?

Hello again Jimmy! Thanks for the GRO , which I haven't got. The census reference is a different Andrew. I've found this one on several census, & he's a chainmaker. In 1911 at Victoria Street, 1901 Little Hill, 1891 , 81 & 71 at Lumbans Bank. Dad is Joseph, born 1829 Cradley. I've found Joseph's marriage to Emma Crampton at kSt Thomas Dudley in 1856. Joseph Harris dad is ...Joseph.
Andrew Harris & Hannah Corkindales children are Harold, Howard, Doris May, Gladys, Leonard, Lily, Muriel I, Wilfred, Rita, Elsie, &Alma...

I think Hannah Corkindales siblings may be John, Elizabeth, Kate, Amelia. I think I've seen Amelia on 1911 census in Liverpool as a cook.

NL, this is the Andrew Harris Abt 1864 014/005/414. I've also found them in the Rev. James Hesselgrave Thompson notebooks. Andrew baptised St Peters Cradley 11 February 1867. Parents marriage Joseph Harris,bachelor, full age, chainmaker, father Joseph Harris, jobbing smith. Emma Crampton, full age, spinster, father Henry Crampton, nailer. Both living Dudley.Witnesses Susannah & Joseph Westwood. St Thomas, Dudley. 18 February 1856.
Mumbles , your census entries are correct. The 1939 information was unknown, and correct , bur Elsie and Alma were living beyond 1939. Alma is the marriage you mentioned.
Other bits of information via text...
Lily Harris married Cyril W. S. J. Homer 5/11/1939. They had 5 children.
Andrew Harris owned property and land on Little Hill, border of Mousesweet brook, which was lost on his death. It was known as "God's Little Acre".
William Corkindale was buried in Smethwick. Born c1852. First wife ? Mary Ann Welch 1855-1886.

Sharon I meant because they were on 1939 Register they must have died later as all people noted on register must be dead today
