Hello Fudge Family Dudley & North Staffs

Hello All
I'm a descendant of William Fudge (1808-1891) originating in Sedgley (Staffs) and am trying to link up and make sense of the various William Fudge's in this area, his son William (1835? -1866) moved to Stoke on Trent and died there ages 31 (on death cert.). However, I can find no Baptism record for him at St Thomas's Dudley or any churches in this area. Ideas warmly received....
I'd also appreciate help in tracking down William Fudge's (senior) father (also William) and wonder where he might have originated from as most with this surname seem to originate in the South West UK.
