This Eleanor Greenfield:
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... ver=375830

Was bapt 5 Sept 1804, Brierley Hill, d of Richard and Sarah Greenfield.

This James Greenfield:
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... ver=375830

Was bapt 21 Feb 1802, Brierley Hill, also son of Richard & Sarah Greenfield.

I know they give Dudley as birthplace in various census entries - the family lived in Woodside: it is important to realise that Woodside not only bordered Harts Hill and Holly Hall, but also the bottom of Level Street, which was otherwise in Brierley Hill, was also part of Woodside - this appears in a lot of records that I have come across as 'The Level, Woodside' - the family seemed to have used Brierley Hill Church (and prior to that Kingswinford - I suppose it saved a long walk up the hill to St Thomas in Dudley!, but then again Level Street (as it is now, was anything but level!!)

Richard Greenfield was bur 21 Jan 1844, St Thomas, Dudley, aged 90, 'of Woodside' (FreeReg).

So we now come to Richard Greenfield, born circa 1754/5 - and we find bapt 8 May 1756, Kingswinford, Richard s of Richard & Mary Greenfield.

Richard Greenfield married Mary Jukes, 26 Dec 1743, St Thomas, Dudley.
There are corresponding burials at Brierley Hill for this couple:
Richard 3 Jan 1798, aged 78
Mary 27 Aug 1807, aged 85
(both from FreeReg).

What I think proves the connection is that James Greenfield has, in 1841, a Richard Greenfield aged 86 - presumably his father - living with him.

From FreeReg:
Richard Greenfield was buried 21 Jan 1844, 'of Woodside' ,at St Thomas, Dudley, aged 90, (Died 17 Jan).

There is a corresponding baptism, 8 may 1756, Kingswinford, for Richard, s of Richard & Mary Greenfield.

Richard Greenfield married Sarah Round, 18 Feb 1782, Kingswinford (extracted entry on IGI).

Sarah Greenfield was buried 6 Nov 1836, St Thomas, Dudley, aged 76, of Woodside (FreeReg).

I note that James Greenfield, b abt 1802, was living in Low Town - this was (it vanished in the slum clearances many years ago) just the other side of the traffic lights by St Augustines Church, heading towards what is now Russells Hall Hospital (the King William pub is almost opposite the area, on the other side of the road).
