Placename Kintum

At this time I'm working on a Dutch family named Knowles.
The patriarch was one Richard Knowles, glove maker, who came from England early in the 1600's, to Amsterdam and parts North.
He was born in, as he himself said: Kintum (or Kyntum). No other information available.
I haven't the foggiest which place that might be. Does anyone know?

His age at the time of marriage gives 1600-1601 as the year of his birth. I have two mentions of this placename (in two different Dutch towns, both from 1630) but I am unable to put pics (scans) in here, so you'll have to trust me on the spelling (Kintum and Kyntum respectively). Something like Kintham -- maybe?

One possibility is Kington in Herefordshire.
This link to an ebook mentions glove making there.
Another possibility would be Kineton, Warwickshire which isn't too far from Stratford where glove-making was a trade.

I wonder...
I was going to print out that e-book page, but the thing didn't want to co-operate.
And I'll mention both possibilities in my text.
Also, I'm going to do some googling and see if I can connect any of those places with the Knowles family. If anyone has a suggestion... that'll be welcome too.
Can someone help me out with the postal codes for both these villages? (Kineton and Kington). All contributions gratefully accepted.
Petra.

This site should be able to give you post codes.

OK, then that's what I will do, probably during the coming Bank Holiday weekend.
