Joseph Taylor (born 1782) missing links

I have just managed to copy a very fragile copy of Joseph's will into readable form - hence a number of queries.
On the Connections page a Sarah Jemima Taylor is shown in the notes but not in the tree - she is his daughter.
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =693547979In the family bible there is a mention of some Johnsons and my granddad did not know who they were for certain (think this is a note at some point on either the connections or forum as I have forwarded a copy to the forum via Mallosa).
The will confirms that Sarah Jemima Taylor marries a William Johnson and has two children - Edwin born 14.10.1835 and Charles born 5.7.1839.
I have looked on the Connections page but cannot find an Edwin, Charles or William that might be children/husband to Sarah.
I also had a quick look on BMD but not sure if I looked in the right area.
The family lived in Stoke Prior.

The date of birth for Sarah Jemima Taylor in the family bible is 28.8.1812 so the christening date in the notes looks about right. Josephs will is 5 pages of foolscap long with very specific gifts/instructions including leaving the family bible and books to my great grandfather Nathan. He specifies that if his wife Ann remarries she will loose her inheritance then the most relevant bit to this query:
'And from and after the decease o my said wife or her marriage again as aforesaid I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Jemmima Johnson wife of William Johnson the interest of the sum of Thirty pounds to be paid to her by my solicitors or the survivor of them his executors or administrators during the term of her natural life by even and equal half yearly payments and direct the same to be paid into her hands only and her receipt alone notwithstanding coverture to be good and legal discharges for the same it being my express will that the said William Johnson shall have nothing to do therewith in that the same shall be liable to his Debts or Engagements. And from and after her decease I Give and bequeath the said sum of Thirty pounds to her several children which may be living at the time of her decease in equal shares and proportions.'
Jemima seems to spelt differently in different documents - it's one 'm' in the Bible, 2 in the Will. The will was written on 24.8.1841 shortly before Joseph died - I'm not sure of the exact date but Nathan received the bible on 25.6.1842.

If this is Sarah what happened to William? - he was still alive when Joseph's will was being written in 1841. also where or who is Charles (born 5.7.39) - written under William and Edwin in the Bible - I assumed he was a younger brother. After Nathan inherited the Bible he mainly put in entries connected to himself not his brothers and sisters.

Just looked at the Bible again- the writing is difficult to read but 1812 is clear- is the Sarah mentioned by Grangers the right age? She was christened by Charles Dodworth at Stoke Prior if it helps - the date isn't clear enough to read.

that looks lie Sarah doesnt it.
I wonder if she left William...and was able to cos of the money left her.
the will seems not to like Wm Johnson much
"it being my express will that the said William Johnson shall have nothing to do therewith in that the same shall be liable to his Debts or Engagements."
is there a death for Charles the son?
and one for William anywhere.

I don't have a death certificate for Joseph and the date isn't in the Bible however I have some clues in amongst the paperwork . Nathan (his son/my great grandfather) wrote an autobiography when he was near to death (C1911) and in it he says his dad dies 13.3.41 but as Joseph's will is dated 24.8.41 this can't be right so given that Nathan became owner of the Family Bible on 25th June 1842 (after his sister Betsy had tried to claim it judging by his wording) I presume it is 13.3.42.

Just curious about Charles - as his birth date is 1839 perhaps he was a cot death as not on any of the censuses - Joseph talked about Sarah's several children in the will but perhaps this is just a turn of phrase or wishful thinking? Other than this it would be good if Sarah and her connections could be added to the family tree.

Yes please add Charles including the possible death as it links in with the Census details. I e mailed a scan of the relevant pages of the Family Bible when I first joined the forum. My great grandfather Nathan went into service in 1843 and doesn't seem to have had much to do with his family after that. His mother Ann must have remarried at some point as Nathan mentions a stepfather (no name given) and the gist of the autobiography is that he did not get on with him at all.
