Talking of Brummie accents tonight got me thinking about all the great bands from the West Midlands especially the "Brumbeat" bands 1960-1969.
Here's one of the earlier ones.
I saw them at The Regent Langley way back then.

That record still gives me chills all down my spine every time i hear it!!
Denny Laine's vocals are brilliant!! Saw him in Wings at The ConcertGebouw Amsterdam in '72 and he sang this.
