I'm still very new to all this.
I am really glad that you have confirmed Horatio as father when JJ marries Louisa.
Horatio and Ann Westwood have another son not shown on Bcc
He is Eneas, bap 24 Dec 1826, buried 28 Dec 1828. Both Rowley Regis St Giles.
When the children are baptised Horatio does not usually describe himself as a nailer.
The James family have a long association with the Gate Public House.
I can't find a baptism for John. The others are:
Ambrose 26 Sep 1824
Eneas 24 Sep 1826
Thomas 19 Feb 1829 Horatio is of Gate Public House, licensed victualler
William 18 Mar 1832 of Old Hill victualler
Edwin 28 Dec 1834 near Old Hill nailer
Joseph 27 July 1838 near Old Hill victualler
all Rowley Regis St Giles
The Gate is in Netherton. The address changes over the years and it is now The Gate Hangs Well.
I have lots of questions still, but I will leave them as separate topics for later.
