Yes thats spot on
He was a clergy man so would have put Jordon on the original census that was deatroyed- this is what the numerator put down on this sheet- Joseph Purdow? Priest 22 Head Tailor Old Hill, Staffs-=

Oh right! So why is she down as Mary Ann and not Mary Jane on the census?

Has to be same reason the numerator must have got tired and put Ann instead of Jane
