Looking for more information on Robert Gillam amd wife, Martha Cook Gillam. She died in 1878 at the age of 64 and is buried at Old Swinford.
Curious if they had any children and such.
Thanks!

This is now an archived topic, but I hadn't answered to the question that was posted. Yes, it was Fanny Holden that Robert Gillam remarried. Fanny was the maternal aunt of Marion Edith Richards- who was living with the Gillam's. Marion had been orphaned when both her parents passed away on the same day. One of natural causes- the other not so natural. Marion was then adopted by the Gillam's as Mary Cooke Gillam was Marion's father's sister.
SO, basically, Marion's paternal uncle through marraige as well as being her adoptive father, married her maternal aunt. Must have been very confusing for her.
Sorry it took me some time to get back to you on that.
