Bruton's of Stoke Bliss *COMPLETED*

I'm trying to help a friend who is new to this and has no internet access..he is descended from Bruton from Stoke Bliss, Worcs, sometimes Herefordshire. From family records, he is back to William Bruton b.1789. William married Eleanor.
Could anyone find Eleanor's maiden name, or any further info on this couple, or anything on William's family prior to this date?
-No pressure, but I 've told him how brilliant you are! With thanks.....

Hi Sharon, the marriage does not seem to be on the IGI, you really need to find someone who has the Parish Records for Stoke Bliss. Can't think of any other way round it, unless this Eleanor is still alive on the Census? Which may help with her place of birth. Best Wishes from Linell.

You were spot on Farside! This seems to be a sad tale... Mary was a pauper and William was illlegitimate. he went on to marry Eleanor, settle at Stoke Bliss and become a mason...his twin brothers, also illegitimate were born the following year and christened at Astley on the day of their birth. One was buried aged 2 months just before Christmas, his twin buried on new years day 1790, 3 weeks later....
could anyone help find anything about mary?...
