I'm on the mend

Post by Antie Em »

Hello everyone - sorry I haven't been around much lately. Just thought I'd let you know that I had an operation four weeks ago for a total hip replacement. In hospital for eight days, walking on a zimmer. I have since progressed to two sticks and now on one - even managed to get around for the last couple of days without any aids. I have an appointment at the hospital in two weeks, where I hope to be discharged, and then I will be able to drive again, and maybe get back to working at the museum. If anyone is thinking of going down the same route - I can thoroughly recommend it - much better than the terrible arthritis pain. :-)

Thanks for the good wishes - how are you doing Sparks ??

They won't let me do the parachute jump - it was when I went for the necessary medical, that they discovered just how bad my hips were - I'd just put it down to old age. Have to stick to knitting from now on
