I've reached a cross road in life
On one hand I play a lot of Xbox games
On the other I like to dabble with family history, that has taken far to much of my time
I have provided 33 complete register transcriptions to FreeREG with another 13 in the pipeline
Mostly all that is required that they need a check over, although a couple are only 70% complete
Its taken a lot of my time, so I am trying to phase it out, maybe have these online by next summer
This may probably be the last I do
The ones I have transcribed for FreeREG? you may be wandering are - Halesowen St John, Old Hill Holy Trinity, Reddal Hill St Luke, Blackheath St Paul, Quinton Christchurch and Blackheath Cave Adullam.
Looking forward to the new Fallout4 coming out on the 10Nov2015
From my experiences of Fallout3 and Fallout Vegas it promises to be the best game ever!

You have been a credit to the Genealogy World CS but I do sympathise with you.
I am still addicted but it does take over your life .............I think we just like a good puzzle.

I try and back off then get drawn back in.........but I do try to make myself log off and do other things.

Thanks for the kind comments, I'm going to clear the 13 transcriptions that I have knocking about my pc but it will take well into next year to upload files of a suitable quality. only then will I know whether to do any more or not. cheers

Had Fallout 4 for Christmas PS4 not XBOX and that is taking a lot of my time, its a game that takes months!
Don't get alarmed though as I have a further 6 registers of Blackheath St Paul baptisms completed and nearly ready to add to FREEREG
However I need to check 50 items at the archives before uploading so will have to wait till they open in January.
Most researchers maybe are not bothered with baptisms, but some of the baptisms are quite complicated, adult married females, they mention married names and maiden names, and give more information than standard baptisms
Volume 4 in particular gives the Birth dates

This is just an update, I have been playing Fallout 4 for the last 3 months, the save file is almost 500hrs, so not much has got done on the FreeREG front, I have collected all trophies inluding the final Platinum Trophy. Don't be fooled though there are quests not undertaken as it stands today so I could go on a lot longer yet, I think however I am winding down on this one and do not intend to do the DLC quests they are releasing soon. Got to be the best game I have ever played since I started back in the early Atari days in the 1980's

Over Easter I have completed a fantastic game on the PS4 called "Life is Strange" It has to be the most emotional game ever devised, I have to admit, this is one of the few games that has actually made me properly cry. Even now I cannot stop thinking about this game and along with the haunting theme music all adds to the experience. Highly recommended but does contain bad language

I am so glad that I haven't got into the game stuff cos I just know that I would never ever be off it!

Genealogy was addictive enuff a few years ago....

I love to play the video games but i have to agree the increasing use of bad language is discouraging me.

One game you might like is No Man's Sky. Space and planet exploration. You have 16 quintillion planets to explore, all with unique landscapes and even widlife. Trade with aliens, learn alien languages, find out mystery of old monliths and structures, discover new flora and funa and give them a name. Superb Fun I can not wait for release in June.

Oh no! Not for me...I don't have time!!!!
