Thanks a million RF
I couldn't see her grave or my grandfathers when I visited St Paul's. I have always wondered if they were buried together or not.
My mother told me that her father wouldn't allow her to go to her mothers funeral (even though she was 17 at the time) I've never understood why! He later had another relationship but I dont know her name....
Did he remarry?
Was he buried with that lady?Who was living at No 22 Avenue Road, Blackheath after he died in 1941 I think his 'partner' was still there because my mom didnt come to birmingham until abt 1943

Edwin died 12 Dec 1941 and the informant was his son Gerald whose address is given as 22 Avenue Road (same as his father)
His other son Bert didn't get on with this other lady cos she wanted him to hand over all of his pay packet, so he joined the navy.
That's an indication that she must have been living at that same address after Edwin died doesn't it? How long after Edwins wife died did she move in (anytime between 1933 - 194?)
As you can see I have his death certificate but I don't know where he is buried...http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... ver=354135
