Frances Bate ?

This Frances Bate who married Isaac Crew
http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =940260382I think was married before to a Thomas Bate and therefore should be noted as Frances Unknown
I have added a lot of Census details and her daughter Mary Bate is with her from 1841 to 1871
this I think is Mary,Thomas and Frances :-
Mary Ann Bate christened 1/8/1813 St. Thomas Dudley father Thomas Bate and mother Frances Bate

Mine says 24th June. But that would make her around 14 when she married, I know not impossible...
I dont know. She could have been born out of wedlock and also the marriage could be wrong...

Amended and added a note on her notes whilst we sort
I sort of think it is a made up name on the bapt of mary ann
do we have her marriage?
and we could send for the certif of one of frances kids birth
is there one someone can post to send for.

1861 age 66 b 1795
1871 age 79 b 1792
poss death 1877 Dec qtr aged 88 Frances crew
so b 1789

I was just looking again...Look at the witness to her marriage to Isaac... A witness John Roper. That was the maiden name of Frances who married Thomas Bates!
Doesnt seem Mary Bates married...

so does seem like she marries a Thomas Bates then
and spinster is an error
