Hi everyone,
I am looking for information regarding my 4th Great Grandmother, Mary Ann Rollinson (Nee Hingley or Ingley). She was born around 1829 in Halesowen according to the 1861-1891 censuses, but I am unable to find a baptism for her. She married Edward Rollinson in 1847 at Sedgley and her father was named William Ingley on her marriage record. I know she had a sister called Elizabeth who died in Collinsville, Illinois, USA on the 16th October 1873 as she was named as the executor and only next of kin for the will, but apart from that I don't know much else. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with it, because she doesn't seem to appear on the 1841 census either, so that's threw another spanner in the works. I am unable to find a baptism for her sister either. Also worth noting, she did have a boarder living with her and her family on the 1861 and 1871 censuses called Henry Hingley born Cradley in around 1809, but it doesn't say what relation he is to her. Any help would be gratefully received.
Many Thanks,
Jack Fern

Henry Hingley bapt 29 Jan 1809, Park Lane Presbyterian, Cradley, s of James & Mary
Elizabeth Hingley bapt 18 May 1834, Old Swinford, d of Henry & Mary
1841 Census, Lye Forge Road:
Henry Hingley 30 (it's on IGI, so age given as 30-34)
Mary 30 (as above)
Elizabeth 5
Samuel 3
Mary 10
Louisa 8 months
Looks like that's them.
Can't find bapt for Mary (Ann) yet

Henry Hingley married Mary Freeman, 1 Sept 1833, Old Swinford.
I wonder if he married twice and His daughter Mary had a different mother? - might be a reason for the odd order of children's ages in the 1841 census?

I had another thought, as I can't find an earlier marriage for Henry - I wonder if Mary Ann 'Hingley' is the daughter of Mary Freeman, born before her marriage to Henry?
Intriguingly there is a baptism for a Mary (note not Mary Ann) d of Mary Freeman, 29 March 1829, at Worcester (ODM), but I wonder if this is too far away from the area??

Child of Henry Hingley & Mary, bapt at Old Swinford:
Samuel 2 Oct 1836
Can't find a bapt for Louisa b abt 1840, but there is a birth registration for that year in Stourbridge. She is possibly the Louisa Hingley who married Levi Price 17 Apr 1865 at Old Swinford?

Hi,
I found a will reffering to Mary Ann Rollinson (Nee Hingley) as the sister of the deceased. The sister was called Elizabeth Hingley.
