This Deborah Skidmore:

http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... ver=350359

Will fill in further details of her parents etc later, but noticed that on BCC that two of the executors of her will are her sons-in-law, and the other one is a John Turley. Only seems to be one daughter unaccounted for (Elizabeth) so looked on the IGI and found:
21 Sept 1844, St Peter, Wolverhampton, John Turley, s of William Turley, and Elizabeth Rollason, d of B. Rollason.

Unfortunately it's a submitted entry but it looks likely....

The John Turley/Elizabeth Rollason marriage is on FreeBMD:
Sept Qtr, Wolverhampton 17 346

Checked the Wolverhampton Archives site, but the St Peters marriages on there stop in 1837, but it still looks likely

Thanks RF, I think that proves it, and one of the witnesses was a Caddick, also relatives of the family.

The family were Baptists, hence the association with Darkhouse Baptist Chapel, and the marriages in Coventry.

There is still, I think, a Skidmore Road in Coseley, where it seems the family lived/ owned houses.

Edit: Skidmore Road is actually now in Bilston, around the corner from Darkhouse Lane

This is the link to the online version of parts of Linda Moffats book:

http://skidmorefamilyhistory.webplus.net/page20.html

The relevant section is 'Skidmore Families of Deepfields, Coseley, and the Town of Dudley'.

(This section of the book also includes Linda Moffatts own line) - I believe Dennis has a copy of the original book.
