When checking Biggs family tree yesterday on BCC site i noticed Kdw has entered Mary's surname as Billingham. It was in fact Bellingham -I have a copy of the marriage certificate, as William Biggs was my great Grandfather.In the tree the name of his mother is shown as not known. I can confirm it was Jane Nickless (1813-1873) married 27/5/1832 in Rowley Regis. I hope that this is helpful. I also noticed that the family of his son Joseph is missing my aunt Mary (1911-1995)who was the second of the sisters ,

looking back at older generations the name looks like it started out as billingham

so they kept the older surname and added a note that the surname used Bellingham as well

I will move this over to the Black Country section and we can see if we can fill in any gaps.

We are using both Billingham and Bellingham on Bcc

so what was she regis as at birth
we like to use what they are regis as if 2 choices.

Theres 2 birth records showing in 1849 both in the first quarter, Billingham and Bellingham. I couldnt see a christening.
