Jonathan Crampton born 1720 in Cradley married Hannah Reaves born Cradley 1720.
Would like information about parents of Jonathan Crampton.
He is the g.g.grandfather of Phoebe Crampton who married Thomas Tromans in 1844.

I wonder if they could have also been called Crompton as well because I have found on FReeREG a John Crompton bap 3rd June 1722.

At a guess Jonathan born about 1720 has an eldest son William, would think back then when names did follow suit, that Jonathan's father was probably a William too? Linell.

I checked the Book of Cradley Wills and Inventories 16th and 17th Century. A lot of familiar names from Cradley, but not one Crampton, Crompton or Crumpton? Makes me think that the family moved to Cradley in the 18th Century, or were too poor to leave any Goods and Chattels? Linell.

I have found a marriage transcription of Jonathan Crampton and Hannah Reaves on FMP marriage but no parents,but no baptism.
