Anyone any good at tracing marriages in Australia. I have a 'Brick wall' try to find a marriage
probably between 1958/1963 for Peter George WESTON b.1833 Portsmouth,Eng: and a Joan Beatrice PRESTON,
marriage probably in Townsville Queensland but not certain. Any help gratefully received.
Peter was my cousin and best mate in the 50s...he sadly died about 1995 in Aus:

The electoral rolls for 1963 have them both at 77 Arline St., Mt Isa. Joan Beatrice Weston was at the same address in 1958 (no Peter George there). So the marriage must have been that year or earlier.
There is a Joan Beatrice Preston at 21 Morehead St, Ross in 1958, with other Preston people (Ada, Edith Ada, Vera Annie) at no. 26. If that is her then perhaps she was entered twice when just married?

Thanks both: Yes I have the Electoral Rolls ...that were I found the couple, just searching for
the actual marriage: Peter George died 1995 and their son Peter Murrey committed suicide two
years later. Mark's been off the radar lately jimmy, don't think he has been to good?....
