My great grandmother Charity (occasionally Charaty) WIDDOWS (sometimes WIDOWS or WIDDUS)
age 29 (born c 1822) is with her parents in 1851 in South Leigh / Southleigh near Witney, Oxfordhsire with her illegitimate son Charles WIDDOWS born 1850.

Things are complicated because one of her brothers decided to marry a girl called Charity, who of course then became Charity WIDDOWS and was more or less the same age...

This "wrong"Charity WIDDOWS's age varies quite a bit:
in 1841 her year of birth is 1821
in 1851 1821
in 1861 1819
in 1871 1818
her husband, Michael WIDDOWS died in 1877 and she then becomes a widow and she appears to take up a career as a "nurse'

in 1841 she is in Oxford: Angel Hotel, St Peter in the East, Oxford: Charity Widows Female 20 1821 Oxfordshire, England
in 1851 home with Dad, Mum & her illegitimate child who is actually recorded as her father's "son"
Charaty Widows Daughter Unmarried Female 29 1822 Ag Lab Southleigh, Oxon, England
Charles Widows Son - Male 0 1851 - Southleigh, Oxon, England
AFTER THIS - she disappears !!!
