Happy New Year Everyone

Sorry, I know it's a bit late, but I've spent most of the last 10 days in Russells Hall Hospital.
Not been a perfect Christmas or New Year so far, hopefully things will get back on track.
I spent most of December confined to the house because of an all over itchy rash. Still not found out what caused it, but after been given a course of steroids, it's gone. Then on New Year's eve, we were enjoying much food and drinkies, when my son in law's mate, who is a little on the large size, lifted his chair to get nearer the table and placed the chair and himself on my foot.
Luckily, because of the festivities and the copious amounts of red wine, I slept through the pain - but the next day, my foot looked a bit like an elephant's foot, so I was taken to the hospital for an X Ray. It was incredibly bruised, but luckily it was only my toe that was broken, but there's nothing really they can do for a broken toe. So - another week when I was unable to drive.
Then last week, I had a call from my sister to say my mom had taken a fall and broken her hip, which obviously is considerably worse than a broken toe. She was operated on last Monday, which just happened to be her 96th birthday. So - most of last week I was having to cadge lifts to the hospital to visit her. Hopefully she will be out of hospital next week.
So - like I say, hopefully the rest of the year will be a good year.
Hope you all have a very healthy and prosperous New Year
