I have done a marriage look up for Mally and wonder how on earth Dorah became Laura on every single census when the marriage is entered as Dorah


then I wondered about the black Country accent and if you say Laura it sounds like Dorah
so she is going down as Laura and the vicar needs lessons on how his flock spake!

so wonder how the Timmins fits in.

My money is on the Gold marriage

Not sure what link/connection the Timmins names is to Laura Westwood.

On the 1851 that Ann Timmins is living at Salop St with looks like her dau a married Mary Jones
Ann is age 74 and puts b Brettell lane Staffs
Next door is a William Timmins and wife Charlotte ages 23/24 b Dudley
