Plagiarism.

I recently went onto Ancestry to look up some census records, but having a quick look around I found a number of Family Trees using material from my personal web site, which I actually don't mind, but not one gave a reference or credit to my site, these genealogical parasites gave incestus references to each other.

I give and send out info to anyone who'll ask, but is a little credit to much to ask? No I don't want my ego stroking, just fair dues.

I've spent hundreds of hours, hundreds of pounds on research so far but in future I'll keep it to myself.

Doe's anyone else have this problem with the work they've done and how do they feel about it?

if you give the info to one even if they credit you then if they share the info the person recieving it might not know it comes from your site ?

Although I agree that it is irritating that people don't give credit where credits due, I would much prefer correct uncredited information than some of the totally rubish information that is on ancestry!
I've always tried to credit the people who have helped me, and am always amazed when asking someone where their information came from they can't remember, and they've never double checked it themselves!
