Whilst inserting info on Jerial Willetts born 1811 I did some checking and found some points in dispute which need to be looked at :-
a) dumblonde has inserted details of parents of Jerial as being Edward Willetts born 1790 and Hannah Unknown
also inserted is Elizabeth Grove as wife of Jerial but Census record shows mother-in -law as Sarah Cooper
b) Researchers on Ancestry have Edward Willetts born 1772 marrying Ann Stevens born 1772 as parents of Jerial
c) Researchers on Ancestry have 1851 Census details showing Edwin Willetts born 1773 Powke Lane living with daughter Alice and son-in -law Edwin Adams ( I think Edwin Willetts is actually Edward on original)
1851 Census Gibbetts Lane Halesowen Worcs.
Name Age
Edwin Adams 38
Alice Adams 36
Edwin Willetts 78
Benjamin Adams 14
Thos Adams 12
Jane Adams 10
Ann Adams 8
Mathias Adams 4
Edwin Adams 1
d) Alice ties up with siblings of Jerial noted on Ancestry :-
Edward Willetts born 1772 married Ann Stevens born 1772
Children
Samuel 1796
William 1798
Elizophim 1799
Daniel 1802
Elisha 1804
Ann 1809
Jeriel 1811
Kerenapuch 1813
Alice 1815 to 1890
Mark 1816
Can someone look at this and advise or come up with validation

Thanks peterd,
dumblonde looks correct on first part ref. Grove and Cooper.
Hannah and Ann could be same person.
Alice is on 1851 Census
with Edwin/Edward but cannot find 1841 Census for Adams family or Edward Willetts

Thanks peterd,
The 1841 Census does confirm no Edwin Willetts involved as 1851 is mistranscription and should be Edward Willetts ( People on Ancestry have used Edwin version.
I agree the problem is that dumblonde has Edward Willetts born 1790 and Hannah as Wife and Ancestry members have Edward and wrongly Edwin born 1772/1773 and a lot of children. The Ancestry members are direct descendants of Jerial Willetts but I have not received any valdation of their records before Jerial.
Has dumblonde any validation of her dob for Edward and validation ref. his wife ?
I cannot add anything about Adams family or family prior to Jerial unless we can resolve

Found Edward Willetts baptised Rowley 29/11/1772 son of William and Elizabeth Willetts
Ancestry members have parents of Edward as William Willetts 1745 to 1821 and Elizabeth Nichols 1746 to 1808
I agree dumblonde has right details ref. marriage to Elizabeth Grove but has she just estimated dob of Edward Willetts ref. Jerial's birth date 1811

looks like a Hannah Stevens and Ann Stevens both marrying an Edward hence bapts
EDWARD WILLETTS
Marriages:
Spouse: ANN STEEVENS
Marriage: 13 JAN 1794 Saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester, Messages:
Extracted
so this could be an earlier Edward?
and
EDWARD WILLETTS
Marriages:
Spouse: HANNAH STEVENS
Marriage: 05 FEB 1809 Saint Thomas, Dudley, Worcester,
Extracted
that would fit with the 2 on IGI for Edward and Hannah ie Jerial and Ann b 1811 and 1809
so an est dob for Edward is 1789 ish
and the other bapts are for Edward and Ann married in 1794 ...so est dob 1770

now the other bapts are interesting as we have I think Elisha on the Connections already!!
But!!
we dont have any parents for him!
but one of his kids is called Edward
here is the bapt
ELISHA WILLETTS
Christening: 09 DEC 1804 Cradley, Worcester, England
Parents:
Father: EDWARD WILLETTS Family
Mother: ANN
Extracted birth
I think it is possibly the same Edward
we need a marriage look up on the second marriage see if it is Widower
then dau Ann is called Ann as mark of respect after first wife and Hannah Stevens sister/cousin rellie

Nl,
I think you are getting somewhere as one descendant on Ancestry has listed children of Edward & Ann twice. Once as Ann's children and again all as Half siblings to another unknown wife ( all except Edward Willetts born 1801)
