John and Eliza Peplow baptized a daughter Emma Jane in 1835 and a son John in 1833 in the Wesleyan church in Madeley Woods( IGI records) - In 1839, this Emma Jane appears to die in Madeley district - I can find none of the family on the 1841 census. They seem to have stayed in the Madeley area at least until the death of Emma.
Does anyone have access to church records for Madeley? I'm looking for clues to ages of the parents and where they are from as well as the father's occupation - hopefully shoemaker. The Church baptism record should have the occupation and church entries often give where a person who died was from even though official certificates don't. I can't find any death certificates for either of the parents in the index so they may have died before registration. Again church records give age at death by this time.
Believe me, ANY clue will be useful at this point. It appears that John married twice, producing 6 children. I can only find two of the sons of the first marriage in the 1841 census so 6-7 people (4 under the age of 15) have disappeared from the Dawley/Madeley/ Horsehay neighborhood
