I have just discovered yet another member of my family was indeed a copper but in the Hereford Ross-on-Wye area.

I have no idea where I can access this person's police history details. Can anybody advise me please?

On another note, the other member of my family was was also one of the boys in blue with the City of London police force...I went along to the London metropolitan offices and was able to get some details of his joining and retiring dates and other minor details (pension of £326 per annum!). However, his main files are missing.....such a pity as I did get a glimpse of other former police officers' files and they contained photos of the officers concerned......such as shame for me. But I'm still "plodding on" and might, just might, find files with the Met police as that is a totally seperate body (and address!) in the hope he might have transferred there as I have found his address was originally in the City of London area (Cannon St) then he moved to South London (SE27) so may have transferred.

Oh well, I'm continuing with my enquiries
