Could any one tell me where I could find out where my Mom ,and other family members would have gone to school . My mom never told me where she went to school , but she did tell me that her brother went to Grammar School , they lived in Oldbury , and I know they were living in Norman Road Oldbury in the 1930's when she would have been twelve .

Thanks Pete , I will ask him . As I do not know the area too well , I was hoping there would be a site I could go on ,but I did think perhaps not . Difficult when when Schools are being relocated or names are changed etc . I wish I had asked my mom more Questions now.

Living in Norman Road,Oldbury makes it a bit difficult.This is right on the border with Smethwick but if we take only Oldbury schools
then it would be Oldbury Grammer School and Bristnall Hall Secondary Modern.
If however they went to a Smethwick school then i'd begin with Smethwick Hall Secondary Modern and Holly Lodge Grammer School.

Holly Lodge Grammar School might be where my uncle went , but my grandfather lived mainly in Oldbury. In the 1911 census they were in Rood End Road , uncle Beric was born in 1915 presumably in Oldbury . I know my grandad died at Norman road , but my nan died at Causeway Green Road so I think he would have gone to school in Oldbury .Thanks Rob Ps Oldbury Grammar School originally opened as Oldbury County High School in 1926, situated next to Barnford Hill Park in Langley Green.
