ARC TBC - Adam Dalgliesh lived in Marston Stafford

Born Scotland according to the various UK censuses - nothing more specific. Birth years stated vary considerably and his marriage is 1834 in Stafford - so too early for English marriage records to reveal his father's name. I'd like to identify him but there are several called Adam Dalgliesh listed between 1799 and 1810. Some can be seen later on Scottish censuses and can be excluded. Others have been claimed by people doing their trees but I don't know enough about Scottish birth and marriage records to check and prove if they've got the right one.
His farming neighbour in Stafford, Peter Lowe, is from Scotland too - and probably the Selkirk/Stow Midlothian area.
Adam's children's names would suggest James and Elizabeth for his parents - if he followed tradition
It really does look like a brick wall. Any further strategies to try, or just thoughts on why he would travel south would be very welcome.
