Think this subject has been discussed before, but here goes again. I have been contacted by someone whose gt gd father was killed at no 11 pit Himley in 1886(near Gornal) and wonders if she could view the inquest papers anywhere. His name is on the list of miners killed, William Tench aged 43.

Here are some notes on Coroners Reports SS. Maybe better to search the Newspapers of the time:-
On coroners inquests , this is what I was told from the coroners
office at London last year
Any member of the FAMILY can ask for a report has soon has the inquest
has finished , I also asked about the 75 years ruling I had been told about
,
The reply was no such ruling ,
It might be that none family members cant not see the report if it still
exists till after 75 years
but members of the Family can
All very confusing has most coroners reports are destroyed long before
this and only about 15%
are kept
